It’s favourites time again! September flew by, but I discovered several new beauty products that I loved and wanted to share. We travelled through France on our way to Switzerland, which gave me the chance to visit Sephora and other shops along the route. I picked up a few gems—mostly colour cosmetics and some tools—that performed surprisingly well.
KIKO SHADE FUSION TRIO BLUSH – £8.99 from Kiko
I’d been meaning to try Kiko for ages and finally popped into a store in France. The Shade Fusion Trio blush immediately stood out. The palette contains three complementary tones that can be used separately or swirled together for a natural, healthy glow. The formula is pigmented yet buildable, and it blended beautifully on my skin. I wore it during a long day and it lasted without fading, so I bought a second shade on the last day of our trip. If Kiko expand this formula into more shades, I’ll buy them all.
SEPHORA COLLECTION MATTE BLUSH – €11.99 from Sephora
I’m a little obsessed with blush, and this Sephora Collection matte blush in the shade “Shame on You” is a new favourite. It applies sheer at first but builds up beautifully and blurs into the skin for a natural finish. The longevity is outstanding—I wore it at an event from mid-morning until after midnight and it stayed in place. My only critique is the packaging: it has a dual-opening design that’s fiddly and can pop open unexpectedly. I’m planning to depot it into a palette because I love the product itself.
LANCOME MIRACLE AIR DE TEINT – (hard to find; possibly discontinued)
I found this Lancôme product unexpectedly at TK Maxx and it instantly became a Holy Grail for me. Miracle Air de Teint feels like a tinted moisturiser but wears like a foundation: lightweight, natural coverage with long-lasting results. The shade appeared odd in the bottle but blended perfectly on my skin. It’s ideal for busy days when you want a “put on and forget” base that still looks fresh. I haven’t been able to locate it in regular stores since, so if you spot it in TK Maxx, consider grabbing a backup.
MAC LIPSTICK IN PATISSERIE – £17.50
MAC’s Patisserie is a gorgeous “my lips but better” shade and a great example of the Lustre formula. It’s creamy, smoothing, and surprisingly pigmented for a Lustre finish. This shade sits comfortably in my everyday rotation when I want a polished, natural lip look.
KIKO SMART FUSION LIPSTICK – £3.99 from Kiko
Another Kiko win: the Smart Fusion lipstick in shade 403 is a creamy, highly pigmented formula that delivers full opacity in one swipe. The colour is a perfect pinky-nude—neutral without leaning too warm or too brown on me. Given the price and quality, I’m keen to try more shades from this line.
NOCIBÉ EYESHADOW BASE – €4.97 from Nocibé
This was a surprising and welcome discovery. I’ve struggled for years with eyeshadow creasing—veiny lids and every primer I tried would still crease—but the Nocibé eyeshadow base neutralises my lids and keeps shadow in place all day. It’s not heavy coverage but covers enough to even out colour and allows eyeshadow to appear true to tone. If you can find it, it’s worth trying, especially for stubborn creasing.
NARS CLIMAX MASCARA – £22
The name might be over the top, but this NARS mascara performs. I have long lashes that often smudge under my brow bone, so many mascaras fail me. The Climax formula stayed put for long days without smudging or flaking—even after sixteen hours it remained intact. For anyone who struggles with transfer or flaking, this mascara is worth testing.
SEPHORA COLLECTION MULTI TEXTURE 06 BRUSH – €14.99 from Sephora
This brush replaced my previous favourite foundation tool. The Multi Texture 06 blends foundation flawlessly and gives an airbrushed finish with minimal effort. I liked it so much I bought extras. It’s a versatile, dependable brush that improves how foundation sits on the skin.
SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO BLUSH BRUSH – €27.99 from Sephora
Sephora’s pro brushes continue to impress. The Pro Blush brush is soft, picks up product well, and blends beautifully. It feels sturdy and keeps its shape after washing, making it a reliable addition to a brush collection. If you try one Sephora brush, this line is a solid place to start.
