Video Guacamole Bacon Burger Goes Tailgating
Our guacamole bacon burger is a perfect choice for tailgating or a relaxed camping meal. We prepared this burger on our Green Mountain Grills Davy Crockett pellet grill, a compact and reliable unit that works well for outdoor gatherings. To save time, the bacon was precooked and the guacamole was store-bought, letting us focus on grilling juicy patties and assembling the best bites quickly.
Patti and I keep one night each week as our date night. Most of the time we cook outdoors on our wood pellet grill or smoker, but occasionally we prepare something inside and still enjoy the meal on the patio. Our outdoor dining area is comfortable and inviting, decorated with a rainforest theme, a pellet patio heater, soft lighting, candles and lanterns. We like to pair good food with a glass of wine or a strawberry margarita made with frozen strawberries, listen to music and sometimes sneak in a little dancing.
The guacamole bacon burger recipe is straightforward and adaptable for different grills, making it a great option whether you’re at home, tailgating, or camping. With the right prep—seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, fresh or premade guacamole, and your favorite buns—you can have restaurant-quality burgers with minimal fuss.

About our Recipes
We test our recipes on the patio with a variety of grills—pellet, gas, charcoal and even specialty smokers. Our “Wall of Grill” includes devices from multiple brands, so we design recipes to be flexible and to suit different heat sources and cooking styles. Whether you prefer pellet grills, gas, natural wood or charcoal, the same basic approach to flavor and technique will work.
The two most important variables for successful grilling are time and temperature. Follow those guidelines, and you’ll achieve consistent results. While some dishes can be finished in an oven or slow cooker, outdoor cooking adds distinctive smoky flavors that elevate burgers, steaks and other grilled foods.
Treat any recipe as a starting point. Adjust seasonings, toppings and cook times to suit your taste. Experiment freely—recipes are meant to inspire, not constrain.
Live your passion and do what you love.
