Gnocchi Pizza Bake

I adore gnocchi — so much that I once tried making it from scratch, made a mess, learned from the mistakes, and tried again. For a quick, fail‑proof version of that comforting texture, this pizza‑inspired gnocchi bake uses store‑bought potato gnocchi and requires no pre‑boiling. It’s fast, comforting, and comes together in about 30 minutes.

What You’ll Need To Make This Gnocchi Pizza Bake

Equipment:

  • 9×9 baking dish
  • aluminum foil

Ingredients:

  • pasta sauce (a sweet basil or your favorite pizza sauce works well)
  • shredded mozzarella cheese
  • baby spinach
  • pepperoni slices
  • store‑bought potato gnocchi

How To Make This Easy Gnocchi Pizza Bake

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Lightly spread a thin layer of pasta sauce across the bottom of a 9×9 baking dish.

3. Build the layers: add a layer of shredded mozzarella, a handful of baby spinach, a layer of pepperoni, then the gnocchi. Pour the remaining pasta sauce over the gnocchi, then top with more pepperoni and a final layer of mozzarella and pepperoni.

4. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake on the middle rack for 15 minutes.

5. Remove the foil and broil for about 5 minutes, or until the top cheese is melted and the pepperoni is crisp to your liking. Watch closely while broiling to avoid burning.

6. Let the bake rest a few minutes before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
