Domino’s-Style Oregano Seasoning Recipe for Authentic Flavor

I don’t visit Domino’s often — in fact I’ve never been — but I’ve heard a lot about their garlic bread, especially the stuffed variety. When this month’s Bread Baker’s Challenge announced a theme of garlic-based breads, I was inspired to recreate Domino’s-style garlic bread at home. While researching recipes, I came across a popular oregano seasoning blend that I had to try. Garlic and oregano are the key flavors that give this bread its distinctive taste.

The seasoning is simple to make and benefits from a bit of hands-on preparation. Using a mortar and pestle to gently crush the dried herbs and spices releases their aroma and preserves more flavor than tossing everything into a blender. I followed the recipe closely and the resulting blend was aromatic and flavorful. I keep it stored in the fridge and use it often — it works wonderfully on dinner rolls, cheesy breads, and of course garlic bread. The house was filled with a warm garlic-and-herb scent while I prepared it.
