DIY Beauty and the Beast Belle Pumpkin – how to make a Disney princess Belle Pumpkin inspired by her beautiful dress and The Enchanted Rose.

Disney Princess Pumpkins
Hello friends! I’m excited to share our newest Disney pumpkin project. We love creating Disney princess–inspired pumpkins and this season we made a Belle pumpkin inspired by Beauty and the Beast. It’s one of my favorite Disney stories and I enjoyed crafting this pumpkin with my daughter. This Belle pumpkin joins our growing Disney Princess Pumpkin collection and celebrates the iconic dress and the Enchanted Rose in a simple, elegant way.

How to make a Beauty and the Beast Belle Pumpkin
Supplies:
Pumpkin
Gold paint (24k finish recommended)
Satin fabric in gold or yellow tone
Adhesive gold rhinestones
Silk rose (red or pink, choose based on the look you prefer)
Push pins or sewing pins
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Thread and needle
Step one: Paint the pumpkin. Apply two even coats of gold paint, allowing the paint to dry fully between coats. A smooth metallic finish makes the pumpkin feel dress-like and adds a polished, princess-worthy sheen.

Step two: Prepare the fabric skirt. Gather your satin fabric accordion-style along one edge by hand-sewing a running stitch and pulling the thread to create ruffles. Wrap the thread around the gathers several times to secure them, then trim and knot the thread. Cut a small circular or rectangular piece of fabric to cover the gathered center where the stitches are, and glue it in place to give a neat, finished look. Measure the fabric around the pumpkin and cut it long enough to slightly overlap at the back so the seam is hidden.
Step three: Attach the fabric to the pumpkin. Drape the gathered satin around the pumpkin and secure it with a few pins: one at the front near the gathered center and one or two at the back to hold the overlap. If you prefer a permanent hold, use hot glue sparingly along the top and bottom edges where the fabric meets the pumpkin, taking care to avoid visible glue marks.

Step four: Add rhinestone detailing. Apply adhesive gold rhinestones around the top of the pumpkin to mimic decorative trim or jewelry. Trim any excess rhinestone tape or individual gems to fit the curve of the pumpkin. These accents help emphasize the regal quality of the design and echo the embellishments often seen on Belle’s gown.

Step five: Top the pumpkin with the rose. Secure a silk rose to the stem or the top center of the pumpkin using a push pin or hot glue. The rose represents the Enchanted Rose from Beauty and the Beast and gives the pumpkin an unmistakable finishing touch. Choose a red rose for a bold look or a softer pink if you prefer a closer match to the classic film.

My daughter loved the result. At first I considered using glitter tulle, but satin drapes beautifully and gives the pumpkin a richer, more authentic gown-like appearance. The finished Belle pumpkin is elegant and whimsical without being complicated, and it’s a fun project to do with kids or for a quick seasonal decoration.

When I shared a preview with friends, they noticed how fitting the project is for this blog’s name. I hadn’t thought about that before, but I’ll definitely keep creating Disney-inspired crafts and pumpkins to share with you.
