Ingredients
The Salad
4 heads broccoli, cut into florets
6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
Grated cheddar cheese (optional)
Dehydrated cranberries (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
The Dressing
3 cups (700 ml) plain yogurt
1½ cups (360 g) mayonnaise
Half a red onion, finely chopped
3–4 garlic cloves, crushed or minced
½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, mayonnaise, chopped red onion, crushed garlic and grated Parmesan. Stir until smooth and well blended.
2. Add the broccoli florets, chopped crispy bacon, and optional ingredients such as cheddar and cranberries. Toss everything together until the salad is evenly coated with the dressing.
3. Taste before adding salt — both bacon and Parmesan add saltiness. Finish with freshly crushed black pepper to taste.
4. Chill briefly if desired, then serve and enjoy.
Tips: Use low-fat yogurt and mayonnaise for a lighter version. For best texture, use crisp-tender broccoli and fully crisped bacon.
